Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision offers a safe and confidential space for practitioners to talk about and process their work. Supervision is a collaborative process and a mixture of education, mentoring and facilitating reflective practice. Clinical supervision ensures that work with clients is safe and ethical and also supports professional development for the practitioner.

I use an integrated style of supervision that merges talking and creative clinical supervision which is relationship based. I have delivered supervision to therapists and education professionals both in 1-1 sessions and in group settings.

I believe that working creatively, such as with art, sand or clay, allows the practitioner to bring new ways of thinking about and exploring client work and this can unleash fresh perspectives and new ways of moving forward.

Supervision in Schools

“Teachers who have had the benefit of supervision reported that they valued having a safe space for reflection and critical analysis. That they felt supported but at the same time challenged. They were able to talk things through and debrief situations, exploring the emotional elements of their work and benefited from receiving guidance and reassurance from their supervisor. Supervision was recognised as benefitting mental health and wellbeing for staff as well as having a positive impact on staff practice.”

I can provide group or 1-1 supervision for your staff.

I believe clinical supervision is an essential part of working with children and young people. It is a requirement in many health professions to ensure safe practice and there is a growing belief that education professionals should also have access to regular supervision.

I have experience supporting teachers and learning support assistants with supervision.
